Our estate sprawls across 35 hectares, divided into three distinct parcels, each with soil types that cater to the needs of Bolgheri DOC's principal grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The natural amphitheater with its gentle hills, stretching between the Tuscan villages of Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci, plays a crucial role in shaping the geology and soil. The soils of Bolgheri are geologically young and exhibit a rich diversity, resulting from the erosion of the surrounding hills. These soils predominantly consist of gravel, sandstone, and clay-limestone throughout the Estate, each layer telling a story of the land's evolution. Most vineyards reside either at the foothills or on the coastal plains, which stand at elevations of 20-90 meters.
